The Central Asian-American Enterprise Fund (CAAEF), an USD 150 million government sponsored (but privately managed) venture capital institution with offices in each of the five Central Asian republics and headquartered in Washington, wishes to establish a mutually-beneficial partnership with one or more US-based universities, in particular business schools.

The Fund would be willing to provide graduate students and faculty with internships and consulting/teaching opportunities in the Central Asia region and would make available selected investment write-ups for case study development. In recent years the Fund has benefited tremendously from the presence of summer interns in its various field offices and has engaged several college professors to lead training courses for our professional staff.

In return, the Fund would like to facilitate an arrangement that would allow our qualified local staff to obtain a US MBA degree. After three years with CAAEF, our local professional staff has gained considerable experience in an English-speaking environment with a venture capital institution, and they are prepared to contribute significantly to an MBA program. We would ask that our partner institution provide support in the application process and assist in arranging financial support.

If your institution would like to develop its ties with Central Asia and would welcome the opportunity to participate in a program similar to that described above, please E-Mail Eric Collings at the address above.
