Founded in 1975, the Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA) is a nonprofit international organization dedicated to empowering women through partnership projects, training and advocacy. CEDPA has recently been awarded a USAID contract to provide Technical Advisors in AIDS and Child Survival (TAACS) to USAID offices overseas and here in Washington. We are looking for highly qualified individuals for TAACS positions and in-house position. TAACS - Central Asian RepublicsPosition is based in Almaty. The TAACS Advisor will provide services to the USAID Regional Mission for Central Asia which includes the Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The candidate must be a US citizen, have or be able to obtain a security clearance, and shall have, at a minimum the following qualifications: Adanced degree in Public Health; 8-10 yrs experience with managing USAID programs and knowledge of USAID regulations; experience in Central Asian Republics and or NIS region preferred but not required; knowledge of computer software and hardware used in USAID system is necessary; Russian language preferred but not required.
This is a senior level position requiring an individual with extensive credentials in designing, negotiating and managing complex multisectoral development programs in a multiplicity of cultures and circumstances. The position requires the independence of action and decision making in implementing USAID's health, population, humanitarian and disaster assistance portfolio. Excellent benefits.
