5. Participation in NWP Women's Human Rights Training

Please write an essay (1 page) explaining why you want to participate in the Women's Human Rights Training and how do you expect to use the training.

Criteria for Participation in the Women's Human Rights Project

  1. Strong motivation/interest in working in the public arena to promote and defend women's rights.
  2. Hold a university degree (in law or some other discipline).
  3. Openness and willingness to learn new ideas and skills.
  4. Awareness of the limitations of the legal system.
  5. Active participation in an NGO.
  6. Commitment to work at the national/local level.
  7. Willingness and ability to participate in the full program over eighteen months.
  8. Willingness and ability to plan and carry out a women's human rights advocacy strategy between training sessions.
  9. Ability to work with others without personal attacks and judgments.
  10. Must have sufficient command of English.
