Subject: Two nice Web sites
X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0b -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas

Those on the CivilSoc list who have access to the World Wide Web might
like to know about two nice sites on the World Wide Web.
1. The Andrei Sakharov Foundation. URL: http://www.wdn.com/asf
All in English, well-organized, with important information about the
developing "Peace, Progress and Human Rights" Center, located in a
two-story house in a park in front of the building where Sakharov lived
the last years of his life.
2. Glasnet. URL: http://www.glasnet.ru/
This is a rich site, with materials in both English and Russian. For
the latter, you will need to have a KOI8 font installed on your
computer. If you don't have KOI8 fonts already, the Glasnet Home Page
offers these fonts, free, to both PC and Mac users. Clear instructions
explain how to download the fonts (in ZIP format). Once you have
unzipped and installed a KOI8 font on your computer, you can read both
the English and Russian sections of the Glasnet Web site. It's exciting!
