American Business School in Moscow
AIBEc is a not-for-profit American business school in Moscow. We offer a
2-year program of courses taught in evenings, in English, by a mostly
American faculty. The curriculum resembles an MBA core program; we do not
currently offer a degree. Students are young Russian men and women who want
to enter a career in international business. Entry is competitive; students
pay no tuition. Most have science and technical backgrounds before coming to
AIBEc. Graduates mostly work for American companies here in Moscow or for
Russian banks and other firms with American clients. Finance and accounting
are strong areas.
We are always interested in hearing from anyone who might like to teach some
MBA level courses in Moscow. Our salaries are at the adjunct level, but
we'll guarantee good students for you.
We occasionally accept American or other Western students, although that is
not our primary line of business.
Because we are a nondegree program, many of our students are on the lookout
for further graduate study opportunities in business or economics in the US
or Western Europe. A number have received Muskie fellowships. We would be
very interested to hear of any other opportunities for graduate education in
the US for extremely bright and highly motivated Russian students with no
money of their own.

Yours truly--

Subject: Conflict Resolution
Someone many months ago inquired about conflict resolution. Perhaps the
following will help.
As part of research I carried out some time ago, I came across Ben Hoffman
who had made a committment to this area and was doing professional work in
it as a lawyer. He is now part of a group called Canadian International
Institute of Applied Negotiation. I know they have made some approaches re
doing work in CEE. He can be reached at 613 237-9050.
