To all CivilSoc subscribers:
Some people have bad hair days and some of us have bad Listproc days. I
have just had one of the latter.
I did NOT unsubscribe everyone on the CivilSoc list.

Sorry for the extra noise.

Project Harmony, an un-affiliated, non-profit organization based in
Waitsfield, Vermont would like to announce an exciting opportunity to host
a gifted and talented student from the Former Soviet Union for one academic
year.
Project Harmony has been organizing cultural and educational exchanges
between the United States and the Former Soviet Union for the past eleven
years. Our mission is to increase cross-cultural awareness and
sensitivity, promote the exchange of ideas, and provide forums for people
from different backgrounds to communicate freely and form friendships.
This Freedom Support Act Academic Year Program brings students from Russia,
Ukraine and other former republics to the United States for one academic
year. All of our Academic Year students are fluent in English. Each one
of them has a special talent which distinguished him or her in the
competitive interview process used to select program participants. In the
past, our students have been national gymnastic champions, award-winning
physics students, opera singers, chess champions, and nationally acclaimed
artists. All of the students are outgoing, upbeat, mature and
well-prepared for the international experience by professional Project
Harmony orientations.
Funded by the United States Information Agency, Project Harmony provides
the students with round-trip airfare, medical and dental insurance and a
spending allowance. Host families are responsible for providing the
students with daily meals and transportation to and from school.
Our students are extrememly eager and enthusiastic about participating in
Project Harmony's Acadmic Year Program. We hope their interest and
enthusiasm will be matched by that of open-minded, supportive US families
who have the desire to learn about the FSU.
