Belarusian Days
bi-weekly electronic information bulletin
CCSI recently received the first issue of the electronic bulletin
Belarusian Days. It is published by The Minsk Economic News, the only
English language newspaper in Belarus. The first issue consisted of brief
one-paragraph stories of political, economic and social events,
including:
Political Events:
* Popular Front leaders in exile
* Public protests against political repression
* KGB admits to performing police functions
Economy:
* Differences over customs issues threaten customs union
* Minsk to host a UN conference on refugees
Society & Culture
* Parliamentary delegation visit colleagues in the US

* Crime situation in the capital
