Privatization in Central and Eastern Europe 1995
Central and Eastern European Privatization Network
*****************************************************************
I have learned today that the Central and Eastern European Priva-
tization Network (CEEPN) has recently published the 1995 edition
of "Privatization in Central and Eastern Europe." Based upon
previous editions, the latest edition will be of interest to list
members who are involved in economic transition in the CEE/NIS
regions.
I have ordered, but not yet received, the new edition. However, I
can outline the structure and content of the most recent edition,
to give list members some idea of the publication. The 1994
edition was a high-quality 436-page paperback book with reviews
of recent 1994 privatization activities in Albania, Azerbaijan,
Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia,
Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongo-
lia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Most country chapters were written by individuals who directed
the privatization activities in their countries. I am assuming
that the 1995 edition will be similar in structure.
The cost of the 1995 edition is 30 USD. Postage and handling for
addresses in Europe is 6 USD per book, and 10 USD for addresses
in the rest of the world. Payment can be made by check to "Cen-
tral and East European Privatization Network." The mailing ad-
