Upcoming events in Russia

CCSI has received the following announcements of important
upcoming events in Moscow and St. Petersburg from the Agency of
Social Information (ASI) in Moscow.

        3rd Exhibition-Presentation "Women's Project--96"
                        will take place
             in St.Petersburg from June 26 to 28

The exhibition organizers are the Moscow Institute "Woman and
Management" and St.Petersburg Population Employment Committee.
The exhibition will present business projects of new enterprises,
non-commercial projects, projects of business expansion,
employers' projects to increase women's employment, and innovative
business projects. The event will feature seminars, contests, and
meetings with representatives of city and oblast (region)
administration, investment funds, banks, enterprises management,
associations, as well as with women-entrepreneurs.

The exhibition-presentation will open on June 26 at 2:00 PM at the
Dvorets Tvorchestva Yunykh (Youth Creativity Palace). Adress:

        First Anti-Military Radical Association Convention
                   will take place in Moscow
                          29-30 of June

The issues on the event's agenda include a strategy for the
prospective transition to a professional army starting in the year
2000, organization of an All-Russian Referendum on legislation for
military reform, informing young citizens of Russia about their
constitutional right to refuse military service due to their
beliefs, and the association's "political project."

Among guests and participants of the convention is Olivier Dupuy,
Member of the European Parliament and Secretary of the
Transnational Radical Party.
