Russian/NIS Students Available for Internships
*****************************************************************
I have today received information about a group of talented high
school students who will soon be available to fill internship
positions in businesses and non-governmental organizations in
Russia and the NIS. Presented below is the letter from the
ACTR/ACCELS office in Moscow, and a form which can be returned to
that office if your organization would like to list an internship
opportunity.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We would like to offer your company/organization the opportunity
to inform a pool of qualified, energetic young applicants about
summer internships with your organization.
We represent the Freedom Support Act Secondary School Program
(FSASSP), a U.S. government-sponsored exchange program. Partic-
ipants in this program study in U.S. high schools and live with
American host families for one year. Our Alumni Office works
with students returning from this program - over 4000 total from
throughout the Russia/NIS region.
The returning students ("alumni") are fluent in English, highly
motivated, and eager to gain professional experience. An intern-
ship at your firm/organization could provide them with much
needed skills and credentials, while bringing fresh energy and a
young perspective to your office during a time when you may need
extra help due to staff vacations.
If your organization is interested in hosting FSASSP alumni as
interns, and is able to provide substantive work experience for
them, please fill out the form attached to this message, and
return it to our office in Moscow.
We are currently compiling a list of companies/organizations with
available intern positions. The list will be printed in the next
issue of "The Bradley Herald" - a newsletter edited by our office
for FSASSP alumni.
Interested alumni will send their resumes and cover letters to
you directly. While our office is concentrating on finding in-
ternships in Moscow, we have alumni in every large city in the
Russia /NIS regions. If you can offer positions in other cities,
please let us know that as well.
We look forward to receiving your replies. Please feel free to
contact me if you have any questions about the program.
