The attached announcement arrived today from the German Institute
of Economic Research in Berlin. Perhaps some list members will be
interested in the position. I have presented the announcement as

The UN seeks specialists in NGO management to support poverty
alleviation in Kyrgyzstan. Requirements include two years experi-
ence in NGO management, five years experience in business manage-
ment as well as knowledge of basic marketing, bookkeeping and
credit management. Applicants should also be fluent in English
and have a working knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz.
The assignment is 24 months; the living allowance is $1,318.
Deadline for applications is February 28, 1997. For more informa-
