Subject: NGONET for Eastern Europe

Greetings --

As a component of its USAID-funded Democracy Network Regional Networking
Project, the National Forum Foundation has developed a major new website for
and about NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe.

NGONet is a comprehensive resource for the third sector in the region,
boasting information about funding opportunities, training programs, new
project activities, and very much more.

Find it at http://www.ngonet.org on the World Wide Web.

The site includes an on-line library section for publications (such as the
NFF's newsletter NGONews), listserves, discussion lists, etc. of interest to
the NGO community. It also features links to a wide array of sources of
information and support for thematic areas such as media relations,
advocacy, and fundraising. Other resources include an NGO locator, calendar
of events, and a bulletin board for project listings, job opportunities, etc.

One very important point: in keeping with the participatory character of the
Internet, NFF has designed this site to be as interactive as possible. NGOs
are encouraged not only to visit the site, but to CONTRIBUTE TO IT actively
and creatively. Feedback is invited and welcome.

NFF will also gladly consider requests to host web pages of CEE NGOs.
Contact Peter Wiebler or Gyuri Rixer at NFF-Budapest ([email protected]) for more
information.
