Job Opportunity
Project Harmony, an innovative, not-for-profit professional and educational
exchange organization based in Waitsfield, Vermont (USA) is seeking a
Program Coordinator to support new and ongoing program initiatives in
Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and the United States.
Applicants must be fluent in Russian language and knowledge of Ukrainian is
a plus. Experience preferred. Must be US citizen.
Job Description will include the following elements:
* Organize with fellow staff for recruitment, selection and
orientation of participants from the Newly Independent States (NIS) for a
variety of professional and educational programs. Extensive travel within
NIS will be necessary,
* Supervise and coordinate planning for numerous and varied PH programs
in the NIS and/or USA,
* Represent Project Harmony in negotiations with NIS or USA partners,
* Manage the daily information flow inside and outside NIS offices via
e-mail, database, telephone and fax,
Prerequisite Skills/Experience:
* Proficiency in written and oral Russian and English (Ukrainian
added bonus)
* Independent living and work experience in NIS
* Ability to manage and coordinate office staff
* Flexibility and grace under the demands of changing program tasks
and agendas
* Computer competence in word-processing, spreadsheets, database
and Internet
* Excellent health
* Sense of adventure
* Cultural sensitivity and tolerance
* Willingness to adjust to extremely demanding work schedule
