Program Recruiter, Community Connections Program in Ukraine
with Project Harmony
Project Harmony, an innovative, not-for-profit professional and educational
exchange organization based in Waitsfield, Vermont (USA) is seeking a
Program Recruiter to support the Community Connections Program in Ukraine.
This one-year contract position is based in Ukraine and involves travel
throughout Ukraine to promote, select and orient Ukrainian business people
and professionals for the Community Connections Program sponsored by the
United States Information Agency. Applicants must be fluent in Russian and
knowledge of Ukrainian is a plus. Experience preferred. Must be a U.S
citizen.
Job description will include the following elements:
* Organize press conferences and make initial contact in order to recruit
participants
* Coordinate the recruiting and travel schedule with other Project Harmony
staff
* Interview and select Ukrainian participants
* Administer pre-travel orientations
* Plan and implement post-travel follow-on activities for groups.
Prerequisite Skills/Experience
* Fluency in written and oral English and Russian and/or Ukrainian
* Independent living and work experience in NIS
* Ability to manage and coordinate office staff
* Flexibility and grace under the demands of changing tasks and agendas
* Computer competence in word-processing, database and Internet
* Cultural sensitivity and tolerance
* Willingness to adjust to extremely demanding work schedule
