Microcredit Specialists in NIS
Counterpart International, Inc., a non-profit international development
organization, seeks Microcredit Specialists for various positions, ranging
from Program Advisor to General-Director level, to implement and manage
microcredit programs in the former Soviet Union. Responsibilities
(depending upon position): establish regional office and procedures;
implement lending policies, procedures, and systems; train staff; train
entrepreneurs or consult with program clients; write proposals and reports
to donors; and liaise with local/international organizations, government
ministries, and businesses. Requires: 5-10 years of experience in credit,
banking, or finance. Prefers: 3-5 or more years experience designing,
implementing, and managing microcredit programs/activities; Masters degree
in business, finance, or economics; prior work experience in the former
Soviet Union or Central/Eastern Europe; and regional language abilities.
