              Opening for PROGRAM OFFICER-COORDINATOR

The Center for Citizen Initiatives, a non-profit organization engaged in
citizen-based foreign assistance to Russia, is looking for an organized,
detail oriented person with excellent problem solving and communication
skills for its Productivity Enhancement Program (or PEP). Modeled after
the Marshall Plan Technical Assistance Program which helped to rebuild the
European economy after WWII, PEP provides training for Russian
entrepreneurs in order to increase Russian domestic production. As with
all CCI programs, PEP aims to empower citizens, not officials, to take
responsibility for societal change.

The Program Officer-Coordinator will coordinate delegations of Russian
business people in cooperation with U.S. volunteer organizations.

The position requires excellent presentation, communication and writing
skills, as well as proficiency with Macintosh applications. Touch typing
proficiency is required. Russian language and cultural experience is
definitely a plus.

Qualified candidates please mail or fax cover letter and resume to the
attention of Carri Abrahms. Application deadline is July 24. For a full
job description, see our web site at <www.igc.org/cci>.

Non-local applicants please note that Center for Citizen Initiatives is a
non-profit organization and cannot pay for re-location or any costs
incurred during the interview process, including travel and lodging. First
interviews can be arranged via telephone, but second interviews must take
place in person at the Center for Citizen Initiatives in San Francisco.
