Georgia-South Ossetia Dialogue Project
A Joint Project of the
Norwegian Refugee Council
and Conflict Management Group

The Norwegian Refugee Council and Conflict Management Group (Cambridge, MA)
are seeking a Project Coordinator based at the NRC's Tbilisi, Georgia
office for their Georgia-South Ossetia Dialogue Project. The Project
Coordinator will serve as the main liaison between NRC and CMG and will
divide time between NRC's Tbilisi and Tskhinvali offices. Compensation
commensurate with skills and experience. The term of appointment is one
year. Application deadline: October 18, 1998.

Requirements:
- Russian language ability
- Knowledge of the Caucasus region, post-Soviet politics
- Experience with NGO administration and/or conflict resolution and
management.

Duties:
- Serve as key liaison between the Norwegian Refugee Council in Tbilisi and
Conflict Management group in Cambridge, MA, for the Georgia-South Ossetia
Dialogue Project and all other joint efforts.
- Coordinate follow-up activities in the region for project events and
maintain ongoing contact with program participants.
- Provide regular information, research, and analysis to CMG on
developments in the Georgia-South Ossetia, Georgia-Abkhaz and other
possible conflicts in Georgia and the region.
- Support CMG assessment missions and work in the area and direct local
project staff.
- Consult with CMG and the NRC Resident Representative,
- Monitor project finances, develop budget of approved grant for project
expenditures in Georgia, and specify cash flow on monthly basis.
- Other duties assigned by Resident Representative as needed.
