Subject: New Web resources/Inquiry on humanitarian aid
Dear CIVILSOC subscribers,
1. New Web resources available: CCI's Web site has recently been updated
and now includes over 150 Russian-language documents for agricultural
development, small-business management and preparing for US-based training
courses. Point your browsers to http://www.igc.org/cci/russpubs.html and
select the Cyrillic font encoding (Windows, Mac, KOI8 or DOS) appropriate
for your computer.
2. Humanitarian aid: Has anyone on the list recently shipped humanitarian
aid into Russia? After a one-year hiatus, we are gearing up to resume
shipping vegetable seeds as humanitarian aid this winter. However, we have
so far been unsuccessful in determining the relevant authorities in Russia
who can authorize duty-free entry for such a cargo.
If anyone has recent experience with humanitarian aid shipments, please
contact me via email at
your help will be greatly appreciated.
