Executive Assistant opening (Moscow)
The Global Jewish Assistance and Relief Network (GJARN) is a non-profit
organization dedicated to providing non-sectarian humanitarian assistance
and medical relief throughout the Newly Independent States of the Former
Soviet Union, with the primary focus in Russia and Ukraine.  GJARN also runs
urgently needed programs in Israel and New York.   GJARN�s programs provide
immediate relief with food, clothing and pharmaceuticals; improve primary
medical care and health conditions; and promote the development of civil

GJARN is currently considering applications for a new Executive Assistant
position based in our Moscow office.
Responsibilities:
1.	Reporting to New York headquarters and elsewhere (with logistics officer)
on delivery status, etc. of products.  Facilitating reporting to Moscow.
2.	Coordinating of documents circulation and information flows between
headquarters in New York and Moscow.
3.	Translating and interpreting (between English and Russian).
4.	Administrative/clerical tasks and travel coordination.
5.	Special responsibilities as assigned by Director.
Required qualifications:
1.	Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and follow-through.
2.	Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deal
professionally and effectively and to represent the organization/director by
phone and in person.
3.	Minimum of 1-2 years of practical administrative experience.
4.	Native Russian language skills including the ability to communicate
effectively and professionally in writing and orally.
5.	Excellent English language skills (written and oral).
6.	Ability to translate and interpret between Russian and English.
7.	Practical experience and skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
Access, and preferably Outlook), including familiarity with graphs, charts,
tables, and formulas in Excel.
8.	Strong typing and administrative skills.
9.	Holder of at least a ������� ����������� ����������� (specialized
secondary education) degree.
10.	Currently resident, with the legal status to live and work in Moscow.
11.	Dynamic, can-do attitude is a must.
Preferred qualifications:
1.	Dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
2.	Significant administrative or project management experience.
3.	Experience with a non-profit or western company; experience living
abroad.
4.	Detail-oriented and precise, a willingness to solve problems creatively.
5.	Basic understanding of accounting, logistics, public and government
relations.
6.	Familiarity with the internet, basic web research skills.
7.	Fluency in other European languages.
