Saudi Institute is based in McLean, VA. In the view of its
director, Ali Al-Ahmed, "There are three elements present in all
developed nations, but absent in all third world countries, including
Saudi Arabia. They are transparency, human rights, and real civic
society." Some parts of this website seem to be current, others less so.

Committee for the Defence of Legitimate Rights
in Saudia Arabia is based in London but maintains a number of online
forums that are a useful source of information about Saudi Arabia.
