The HRIDC was established on December 10, 1996 as a not-for-profit NGO in Tbilisi, Georgia. It was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia on December 26, 1996.

The basic goals of the society are:

Volunteer opportunities:

From time to time, HRIDC has a need for English speaking volunteers who can work at its Tbilisi office.
Duties of the volunteer are typically as follows:

Candidates should be: English speakers; have a minimum Bachelors in human rights, politics, international relations,
international law, or a related social science discipline; be able to work in windows packages, email and internet.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, CV and names of two references to the chairman.
