Khabarovsk Women's Council
Established five years ago as a club comprised of professional women volunteers to help unemployed women, the Council meets twice a month to discuss job possibilities, training courses, and the basics of entrepreneurship. With the club's support, several women have started small businesses in their homes. Areas of training include management, accounting and the psychological attitude toward business.

Khabarovsk Council of Women
Founded five years ago by a group of volunteers, the council seeks to help women learn the skills they need to survive in the rapidly changing economy. In recent years, their focus has narrowed to include children in orphanages and training in dressmaking, massage and hair dressing skills for young women. Trainees are also taught basic business skills so they can run home-businesses.
