ISAR Announces the Spring Issue of ISAR in Focus,
ISAR=B9s quarterly newsletter
ISAR: INITIATIVE FOR SOCIAL ACTION AND RENEWAL IN EURASIA, a US-based NGO,
is pleased to announce the Spring issue of its quarterly newsletter, ISAR i=
n
Focus.
ISAR in Focus spotlights news from ISAR=B9s eight field offices in the former
Soviet Union and offers updates about their successes during the last
quarter. =20
This issue focuses on the most recent segment of ISAR=B9s Nuclear Safety
Exchange Program, in which several American activists traveled to nuclear
cities in Russia to exchange experiences and ideas with their Russian
counterparts.  It also describes ISAR participation in an exchange program
in Alaska where participants from Russia and Kazakhstan studied the Alaskan
pipeline and met with activists to share methods of protecting the
environment from oil development.  The activities of our new Minsk, Belarus
office are also highlighted, describing several of its successes.
