organization located in Artemovsk, in the Donetsk region of eastern
Ukraine. According to the website, which is in English and Russian,
"Bakhmat" was organized in 1989 as a group, "To the Sources," and was
registered in 1995 as a town organization.
The mission of "Bakhmat" is "to encourage public participation in
ecological and community issues, offer environmental activities for
youth, promote and strengthen pride in local culture and environment,
and assist developing nonprofit organizations."
