SUMMARY OF POSITION:
IREX seeks a financial compliance associate to provide accounting and
financial oversight and assistance to field offices, review of financial
reports, performance of sub-recipient monitoring and maintenance of the
inventory system. Principal responsibilities will include: visiting and
working with field offices supporting USAID/ECA/DOS-funded projects,
providing technical assistance in financial areas to sub-recipients, and
assisting with assurance of compliance with USG regulations. This position
is available immediately.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties include reviewing field office expense reports for compliance,
working with field staff to improve timeliness and accuracy of reports,
assisting with due diligence review and post award monitoring of
sub-recipients and maintaining the IREX inventory database. Considerable
travel to Eastern Europe and NIS required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
� BA in accounting, finance or business administration or related
field;
� 2-4 years accounting experience, at least 1 year in an auditing
capacity, (CPA not required), knowledge of Russian or regional language
preferred but not required;
� Working knowledge of OMB Circulars, preferred
� Strong computer (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and writing skills; and
� Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
