The Foundation for Russian/American Economic Cooperation (the
Foundation) is a Seattle-based non-profit organization with a mission
to expand economic and education connections between Russia and the

Position Description:
The Foundation is seeking a dynamic self-starter who can help the
Foundation clearly and effectively present to its constituents,
members, clients and potential funders its mission and
accomplishments through its website, printed brochures, public media,
and public and membership events.
Responsibilities:
The Communications Manager will:
� Manage the upgrade and maintenance of the Foundation�s website,
� Update and redesign Foundation brochures to convey a message that is
consistent with other Foundation products.
� Manage membership development and communications in consultation with the
President and the board of the Foundation.
� Oversee all external communications, including the weekly News Digest, the
FastFax and other general listserv communications.
� Plan and promote Foundation events that will create support and interest
in the activities and mission of the Foundation.
� Consult on various Foundation programs regarding related issues, such as
promotion of events and publications, etc.
Qualifications:
� A bachelor�s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications
or related field.
� Two to three years of experience in public relations, media production or
communications.
� Excellent oral and written communication skills.
� Ability to initiate and effectively manage projects without close
supervision.
� Ability to work well in a team environment.
� Ability to develop a concept through group process and convert it into an
effective visual product.
� Strong interest in or experience working with Russia is desirable.
