Dear CivilSoc list members,
The Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) in Kazakhstan is
conducting a campaign called "Children Against Terrorism". The main
purpose of the campaign is to show support for those people of all
nationalities whose relatives or friends suffered from the act of
terrorism on September 11th. The idea of the campaign was proposed by
IATP staff in Shymkent (Southern Kazakhstan) who've organized
contests of childrens' paintings. The best paintings were selected
and placed on a website. Please take a look at
http://www.antiterror.freenet.kz and you'll see these paintings that
express childrens' willingness to save our world from terrorism.
The Internet Access and Training Program is a Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs (US State Department) program administered by
IREX. The IATP creates a variety of resources across the CIS and in
Central Asia. For more information, please see the main IATP page:
http://www.iatp.net and the main Central Asian page:
