This is an unusual announcement, and not at all related to our usual
topics. But since it is short and (at least to me) interesting, I
wanted to pass the information on to members of the RABE-L list. I
recently received the note below from George Roy, who is producing a
documentary for Home Box Office (HBO). Perhaps some list members have
information that would be of interest to Mr. Roy. I am forwarding the

Mr. McConnell-I'm producing a Documentary for HBO on the
controversial 1972 Olympic Basketball Final between the US and The
USSR. I'm looking to locate any Russian Journalists,writers,
commentators who now reside in the US, who would have a knowledge of
the old Soviet Sports System as well as the specifics and the impact
of this memorable game. If you can help please contact, George Roy,
