The Youth Center for Human Rights in Moscow is a public organization
dedicated to promoting human rights through teaching about human rights
theory, current events in the sphere of human rights and methods of human
rights defense.
Their approach derives from the belief that human rights are best understood
in moral and philosophical perspectives. Courses and materials begin with
the principles of natural human rights and respect for human dignity, and
rely on interactive teaching methods like role playing and discussion.
Youth Center programs include a standing workshop for students and young
activists in Moscow, as well as independent training in the organization of
human rights education programs. The Center publishes a variety of
educational materials, a Newsletter, "Human Rights: Promotion, Education,
Information," and possesses an extensive "Resource Center for Human Rights
Education."
