FESTIVAL- These Are Our Mountains, Western Tian Shan, Kazakhstan, June 2002
The Informational-communicative service "Dialogue" presents to all
interested colleagues an invitation from the friendly company "Altex Travel"
to join the 2nd interregional mountain festival "These Are Our Mountains" to
be held in the beginning of June 2002 in the picturesque gorge Sairam-su of
the Ugam ridge in Western Tian-Shan, 70 km. east of Shymkent, South
Kazakhstan.
The program of the festival includes competitions in hiking, as well as
those among bard singers, artists and architects.  During the festival,
which takes place on June 4-8, meetings of lovers of nature and history of
Central Asia from all over the world are scheduled with representatives of
the regional administration and intellectual and business elites of southern
Kazakhstan .
Anyone interested in establishing closer contact with this unique part of
the world would be welcomed.  At your request, we can provide slides of the
sights as well as information on accommodation during the seminar.
