Dear Colleagues:
I am writing to you from Uzbekistan, from Namangan Engineering Pedagogical
Institute. I work here as a coordinator of International programs. Our
institute is situated in Namangan city and it is one of the leading
institutions in Uzbekistan. As a for country as a whole is going tthrough
deep transition at this time, its educational system also undergoing such
reforms.
Functions and role of higher education institutions are very important
today. Our institute has the following faculties and
departments:
1. faculty of economics;
2. faculty of computer sciences;
3. faculty of food technologies and industry;
4. faculty of construction;
5. faculty of mechanical machinery;
We are interested in widening of our international links. We would like to
cooperate with foreign universities, educational organisations and funds for
the following purposes:
1. educational -scientific cooperation;
2. exchange of students and scientific-teaching personnel;
3. Internships;
4.short term exchanges for our teachers (for professional development);
5. to develop an exchange program involving students and staff members in
research collaboration and to promote the cooperation between interested
institutions in various of major fields of education;
6. conducting a joint research projects in areas of common interests ;
7. to exchange information on academic programs ;
8. organisation of cultural- educational visits;
We are also interested to learn experience of foreign universities in
innovative methods of teaching, in the sphere of university management and
organisational and functional structure of international office in the
market economy conditions. If some of the above mentioned activities
coincides with your activities, we would be happy to cooperate or
participate in your programs.
I sincerely hope that cooperation between our universities proves to be
mutually benefitial. Thus we could strenghthen cultural ties and
understanding as well between our nations in the modern interdependent
world.
