ISAR's quarterly newsletter
ISAR: INITIATIVE FOR SOCIAL ACTION AND RENEWAL IN EURASIA, a US-based NGO,
is pleased to announce the latest issue of its quarterly newsletter, ISAR in
Focus.
The current issue of ISAR in Focus looks at ISAR-Russian Far East's
leadership in the Living Seas Campaign, which has united NGOs in the region
to work together and protect the seas of the RFE. It also describes
ISAR-Moscow's recent series of nuclear safety seminars and ISAR-DC's most
recent brownbag lunch featuring Dmitry Lisitsyn of Sakhalin Environment
Watch and Wen Bo of Pacific Environment's China project.
ISAR promotes citizen participation in the former Soviet Union by supporting
grassroots activists and community-based nongovernmental organizations in
their efforts to create just and sustainable societies. ISAR in Focus
spotlights news from ISAR's eight field offices in the former Soviet Union
and offers updates about their successes during the last quarter.
ISAR offices are located in Baku, Azerbaijan; Almaty and Atyrau, Kazakhstan;
Moscow, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok, Russia; Kyiv, Ukraine; and the newest
addition in Minsk, Belarus.
