Mongolia through our organization. You will pay only
109-119 USD (per month) for accommodation, 95USD (per month) for meals and

organization will provide you 25 different volunteer work choices and you

About the Youth & Development Center, Mongolian
Youth Volunteer Organization (MYVO)
Youth & Development Center, Mongolian Youth Volunteer Organization (MYVO) is
a non-governmental organization, which was established in 1999 and is
working to assist Mongolian Youth by providing social, educational,
cultural, and physical activities and opportunities.
Youth & Development Center, MYVO runs a youth
volunteer program on a local and international level. The important aspect
of the volunteer program at MYVO is to promote volunteerism to the Mongolian
community. It is also to make contacts with a variety of international
volunteer organizations in order to recruit volunteers from
abroad and share experience and information to increase our capacity and
utilize young people's efforts and contributions for the well being of
society and community.
MYVO is very interested in expanding its international
networks, partnerships and information sharing capabilities with many
overseas organizations in the area of volunteering and aim to collaborate
successfully in the future recruiting those who are willing to do
volunteering in Mongolia and also providing them with opportunity to
experience Mongolia.
At the start of a new millennium many in the developing countries like
Mongolia have hope for future but most of them find themselves in the
circumstances, marginalized, economically disadvantaged and oppressed.
Whatever your background or circumstances, your actions can make a positive
contribution to improve. Your involvement may be for a short time or long
time; whatever you decide there is something constructive you can do. Each
year we are interested in recruiting volunteers who want to experience
unique tradition of nomadic people and exposure to alternative and different
lifestyles in Mongolia, a country with boundless and varying landscapes,
rich in ancient history and the land of
eternal blue skies.
Areas of short and long term volunteer work include:
--Teaching
--Media
--Film
--Medical observation
--Vocational training
--Organization strengthening
--Community development etc.
We will arrange a guide and transportation for the Naadam festival (a
celebration of Mongolian culture
and sport), and other events of interest. Volunteers will be invited to
attend our attractive tours within Mongolia. For those who are keen on horse
or camel riding, we will take for 5-11 days to Karakhorum, Gobi Desert, and
very many exciting places.
Accommodation:
We can pre-arrange housing for you or help you to do so, when you arrive.
Housing will be founded based on how far is it from the office, conditions
of the environment, duration of volunteer placements and etc. We have much
experience in finding and arranging the accommodation. We are offering you
some of cheaper accommodation:
Food:
As our previous experiences it is better for coming
people being provided cook or meal than cooking
yourselves to save time. All incoming people should
bring their own spoon, cup, plate, fork and knife etc.
Transportation:
We will serve you with bus, microbus, jeep or any kind of vehicle with cheap
prices. Also we co-operate with Transport Company.
Local youth and children:
Mongolian young people are interested in making friend and working together
with foreign teenagers or people who are the same age with. Here is the
possibility for you to live, work and travel with Mongolian Friends.
Interpreters and guides:
There are many skillful guides and interpreters working at MYVO. They will
be happy to help you. Also Mongolian students and young people are
interested in learning foreign languages and they would be very appreciated
to practice with you.
