Governor Igor Farkhutdinov of Sakhalin Oblast and the U.S. 
and Russian Secretariats of RAPP are pleased to announce 
registration for the 8th Annual Meeting of the Russian 
American Pacific Partnership in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, 
Sakhalin Island, Russia on July 14-17, 2003 
The RAPP bilateral forum meetings bring together local, 
regional and federal government and business and civic 
leaders from both countries to identify the obstacles to 
economic growth and expanded commerce and cooperation 
between the Russian Far East and the United States.
The 8th Annual Meeting this summer on Sakhalin will 
provide U.S., Russian, and international organizations the 
chance to assess today's Russian Far East opportunities, 
including the vast array of business and partnership 
potential surrounding the RFE energy and resource 
development.  The meeting program will include seminars on 
the current business environment in Russia, open plenary 
sessions, presentations by high-level Russian and U.S. 
officials, focused break-out sessions concentrating on 
cooperation and progress in individual sectors and 
industries, and multiple receptions to afford networking 
opportunities.
Early registration is highly encouraged as space is 
limited!
