MessageThe Eurasia Foundation (EF), an int'l non-profit organization
supporting the development of civil society and private enterprise in the
countries of the former Soviet Union, is accepting applications for the
following position in the DC Headquarters Office:
Grants Officer
Under the supervision of the Senior Program Officer, the Grants Officer is
responsible for maintaining appropriate policies and procedures for the
reviewing and monitoring of grants throughout EF network. Primary
responsibilities include insuring compliance with applicable policies,
maintaining EF monitoring systems and databases, mentoring field staff on
good grantmaking practices, and managing DC grant portfolio. Approximiately
20% travel. College degree required, advanced degree in business
administration is preferred. Minimum four years project management, contract
administration, grants and/or financial management experience with
international programs required.  Experience with former Soviet region &
Russian language skill highly desirable.  Knowledge of MS Office and
database experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication
skills required for policy articulation and training. Strong analytical
skill, sound judgment; and ability to work with a team required.
