The press release below was recently received by Center for Civil Society
International (CCSI) through a post to the "ukes-news" Listserv by Bohdan
Rekshyns'kyj. It announces an important Internet training event in Kyiv.

Although the event is almost over, the news item underscores the fact that
NATO has a strong ongoing program to build electronic networks among
academic institutions and young "think tanks" in Eastern Europe and the
NIS. In fact, the Friends and Partners project (off of which this
Listserv operates), received a grant recently from NATO in order to extend
the Friends and Partners network in Russia.

The first NATO Advanced Networking Workshop to be held
in Ukraine will take place in Kiev from September 3 to
September 9, 1995. The workshop will focus on training
top level network managers from the Co-operation Partner
