JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Network of East-West Women (NEWW) is seeking an
Executive Director. An international non-profit with headquarters
in Washington, D.C., the Network supports emerging women's
movements in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Former
Soviet Union (FSU). Qualifications include: creative thinking about
international feminism; initiative and leadership; a track record of
successful fundraising and program development; a capacity to
work well with a diverse range of people and organizations;
experience managing staff and budget; women's movement
experience; a gusto for networking and electronic communications.
A familiarity with CEE and the FSU is desirable. An advanced
academic or professional degree, or a publishing record in feminist
issues also a plus. Salary commensurate with experience: $45,000
- $58,000.
