Educational Advising for NIS Students
One of the most frequent requests CCSI receives is for information
about education and fellowship opportunities for NIS students who
wish to attend U.S. universities. We usually refer people to one
of the Educational Advising Centers (EACs) located throughout
Eurasia, which are sponsored by USIA, the Soros Foundations, the
Peace Corps and others. Where can you find contact information
for these centers? Via CCSI's Web site.
CCSI's Web site manager, Deirdre Shelly, has compiled a very
interesting list of online Educational Advising resources. In
addition to lists of EACs in Eurasia, she has found Web sites that
have:
* grant and fellowship announcements
* how-to-guides for applying to U.S. schools
* directories of U.S. universities and business schools
There is even a Web site, Collegescape, where you can apply
electronically to more than 200 U.S. colleges and universities.
