Center for Civil Society International, in cooperation with the National
Council on Economic Education (New York), is pleased to announce the
publication in English and in Russian of...
"Internet Resources for Economic Educators"
"Internet Resources for Economic Educators" is an annotated guide to
Internet sites and electronic mailing lists selected especially for
purposes of economic education in post-Soviet societies. Both Western and
Eurasian economic educators will find much of value in it. The resources
included in this unique guide are excellent supplements to classroom
instruction, and will bring the online world alive for any educational
institution with access to the Internet. Most of the sites and resources
described in the 83-page booklet are in English, but 12 pages describe
exceptional Russian and Ukrainian sites.
Not least of the book's advantages is the time it saves users by
collecting a great deal of related but dispersed information in one place
and eliminating tedious Web searches.
Besides the English edition, a Russian edition is also now available. The
price of "Vozmozhnosti Interneta dlya Prepodavatelei Eknomicheskikh
Disiplin" is 35,000 rubles plus shipping and handling. Orders for the
Russian edition should be directed to Wordsmiths Communications in Moscow,
tel. [7] (095) 953-3002. E-mail inquiries should be sent to Nicholas
Pilugin at: Pilugin at: [email protected].
As a co-publication of CCSI and the National Council on Economic Education
(NCEE), "Internet Resources for Economic Educators" is part of a larger
NCEE project funded by the U.S. Department of Education, to train economic
educators in various nations of the former USSR. Further information about
this project is available from Ms. Patricia Elder, Vice President,
EconomicsInternational, National Council on Economic Education, 1140
Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10036. Tel. (212) 730-7007.
Internet Resources for Economic Educators is 83 pages in length and sells
for $12.95 plus $4 shipping and handling.
