Director, St. Petersburg 2003

St. Petersburg 2003 is one of three programs of CEC International
Partners.
It links American arts organizations with partners in St. Petersburg,
Russia, for mutually beneficial collaborations in connection with the 300th
anniversary of that city�s founding. Its goals are:

� To strengthen the arts as part of St. Petersburg�s strategic plan for
economic development
� To increase capacity for Russian-American collaboration in the arts
� To win the support of American leaders in business, culture and philanthropy

Responsibilities:
� Manage and develop Russian-American collaborations in the arts
� Develop 5-year program for the �American Committee for St. Petersburg 2003�
� Seek foundation support and sponsorships
� Organize American presentations at May 1998 kickoff in St. Petersburg
� Supervise staff of two, report to President and Trustees.

Requirements:
� Management and program development experience in the arts
� Ability to communicate with funders, sponsors, cultural leaders and
government officials
� Knowledge of Russian culture and language preferred

Salary range: $45,000, depending on experience.

CEC International Partners is a not-for-profit organization, established in
1962 to promote nonpartisan, person-to-person contacts between the US and
the Soviet Bloc. Today, CEC creates and facilitates partnerships in the arts
and environmental protection that bring real, mutual benefits to people and
communities in the US, Russia, the Newly Independent States and East/Central
Europe.
