JOB OPPORTUNITIES- National Democratic Institute, Eurasia

The National Democratic Institute is posting two positions:

1) Program Officer, Eurasia

The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, a nonprofit,
nongovernmental organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., seeks an
individual with a background in program management and Eurasian studies to
oversee democracy development programs in countries of the former Soviet
Union. The position will be based in Washington, D.C.

Affiliated with the Democratic Party of the United States, NDI conducts
programs to support the development of democratic institutions and
processes around the world. NDI's programs focus on assisting the
development of democratic political parties and nonpartisan civic
organizations and on strengthening electoral processes and institutions of
representative government.

Qualified candidates will have:

  * a master's degree in international affairs, political science,
    post-Soviet studies or a related field;
  * nonprofit project management experience;
  * a background in international political development, civic advocacy,
    political campaigns, and/or legislative affairs;
  * experience living or working overseas;
  * excellent verbal and written communication skills; and
  * Russian or other Eurasian language skills.

2) Program Assistant, Eurasia

The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, a nonprofit,
