Subject: Job w/ IREX in Armenia
The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), a leading nonprofit
organization in international education and training, seeks candidates for
a 12-month field coordinating position to recruit Armenian candidates for
practical training programs in the United States. Candidates must be well
organized, able to work independently, skilled at handling multiple tasks,
able to adhere to deadlines, and willing to travel extensively within
Armenia. Experience in the NIS and ability to speak Armenian or Russian
required. The position will be based in Erevan, but will involve extensive
travel to other cities in Armenia to conduct program outreach and
recruitment. Responsibilities will include, in coordination with the
Program Director, conducting outreach and recruitment for the program
throughout Armenia; delivering informational lectures on the program to
potential applicants; assisting the Program Director in convening
selection committees; and coordinating pre-departure orientations for
program participants. The position would begin in mid-February. For more
