     Associates in Rural Development (ARD), Inc., an international
     consulting firm based in Burlington, Vermont, is seeking an
     experienced USAID Chief of Party for a possible 4 year assignment to
     head a legal reform project in Central America. Requirements include:
     an advanced degree in law (J.D., L.L.D., or L.L.M.), public
     administration, political science or anthropology; minimum ten years
     international development experience and at least five years of USAID
     project managemen; fluent Spanish and recent Central American
     experience; familiarity with legal reform processes. Excellent
     understanding of legal systems in general and of criminal law in
     particular as well as familiarity with the interplay of the informal
     and formal systems. Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and
     ability to coordinate both long- and short-term national and
     expatriate staff are also required. Full-time, home office technical
     staff position also available for someone with comparable skills and
