PART TIME PROGRAM MANAGER
for environmental NGO working on energy and women�s issues in the
former Soviet Union (FSU).  The CENTER FOR SAFE ENERGY needs
experienced manager for financial and communication aspects of joint
projects with environmental activists in FSU.  Skills with MS Office,
Excel and Internet are essential.
APPLICANT MUST HAVE LEGAL STATUS TO WORK IN THE US
PRINCIPAL TASKS:
1. Organize and maintain office systems.
2. Prepare financial documents and reports.
3. Make travel arrangements for US/FSU exchanges
4. Manage small grants program for non-profit organizations in Kazakhstan,
Ukraine and Russia.
5. Communicate with environmentalists and women�s networks in the FSU and
the US
6. Coordinate proposal preparation for foundations and US government.
7. Troubleshoot on Mac and PC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Excellent writing and verbal skills.
2. Experience with office systems,  computer equipment, budgets and
spreadsheets.
3. Computer literacy on PC and Mac programs: Excel, Quicken, Filemaker,
Eudora, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
4. Experience negotiating with airlines and travel agencies.
5. Attention to details especially financial data.  Self-motivation and
independence.
6. Experience with grant-writing and federal grants (desirable).
7. Interest in FSU countries, environmental and energy issues (desirable).
8. Competence in reading and writing the Russian language (desirable).
9. Already living in Bay Area (desirable)
