PLS RAMBOLL Management is searching for international consultants for the
following project:
EU Phare--Romania: Improvement of health status monitoring and evaluation
capacity in the framework of health care system reform
The project is expected to commence in late 2003 and the period of execution
of the contract will be 24 months from this date. The location is Bucharest.
Participation is open on equal terms to all natural and legal persons of the
Member States and the countries and territories of the regions covered
and/or authorized by the regulation or other specific instruments applicable
to the Phare programme.
Contract description:
The project provides support for development of the national monitoring
information system for non-communicable diseases, including cancer. The
activities include assessment of the current monitoring and evaluation
system for non-communicable diseases, of the national cancer prevention
programme, and design and implementation of a new system on the basis of a
revision of the legislative framework in the light of EU
guidelines concerning health monitoring and evaluation and cancer screening.
Institution building and training activities will be supported for upgrading
the monitoring and evaluation of non-communicable diseases and for
cancer screening and prevention, including design and implementation of a
training plan for workers in county public health directorates, institutes
of public health and the National Centre for Health Statistics.
Personnel requirements:
The qualifications of the candidate(s) should cover those required by the
contract (relevant experience in the epidemiology of non-communicable
diseases/public health field, training, public health legislation)
(a) Candidate(s) have worked on at least one major project in fields related
to this contract in the past five years;
(b) Candidate(s) has significant experience and achievements in the field of
non-communicable disease surveillance/information system and health reform
in EEC countries.
