Stichting Eastern European Assistance wishes to announce the availability
of a Children's farm-camp in eastern Poland for use by children's groups
from eastern europe.
The farm camp will be made available at no charge to appropriate groups.
Stichting Eastern European Assistance, SEEA, is a non-profit foundation
registered in Amsterdam, Holland. For several years now we have been
delivering aid into eastern Europe. We are a small organization, all work
is done voluntarily, there are no paid employees, all expenses are out of
pocket.
A few months ago we completed the purchase of a farm property in
Northeastern Poland. We plan to develop it into a farm - camp for
underprivileged children, street children, orphans, etc.
The farm is located in the Mazurian district in Northeastern Poland about
20 km from Suwalki.
This is one of the most beautiful and cleanest areas of the country. It is
a lake district of small farms on rolling hills. The farm is boarders on
a lake and is provided with exceptional natural beauty and a perfect
environment for children's recreation.
We are presently busy with the installation of facilities necessary to
provide a children's program. Initially, besides the existing buildings,
farmhouse, barns, etc., we will have tent camping facilities, kitchen,
sanitation and washroom facilities. The lake is being provided with a
variety of swimming facilities, and boats. A small children's farm is being
set up. Sport facilities and equipment will be provided.
During the course of this summer, additional cabins will be constructed to
provide better for long term stays and more indoor recreation and living
facilities.
We would be happy to hear from anyone who has need for such facilities.
Please contact us with your expected needs. Because many of the facilities
will be under construction this spring and summer, available space will be
limited this year, but we would like to hear from you now so we have a
better idea of what will be needed both now and in the future.
Also, any individual or organization who would be able to donate useful
equipment to us, or could help us with organization of this project, please
contact me at the e-mail address below. Please be advised that this summer
we will not have any paid positions open, although volunteers, who can pay
their way, to help with farm or construction work are always of interest
to us.
